Two Limiting Beliefs Blocking You From Happiness

Whether through childhood or a significant formative experience, we all hold on to beliefs that guide our decision making and response to situations.

During this Monday Motivation on KFM, Tracey Lange and I discussed how some beliefs serve us well, while others hold us back.

Positive or enabling beliefs like “I am worthy” or “I am intelligent” drive you to success and empower you to lead a flourishing life.

On the other hand, you have limiting beliefs. These negative thoughts stand in the way of you achieving the goals that you set out for yourself. They limit your confidence, your actions and ultimately your life.

I have laid out 2 common limiting beliefs and why you should let go of them.

SCARCITY MENTALITY

A scarcity mindset is a belief that there’s a finite amount of opportunities, money or love available — that there’s not enough for everyone.

This thinking holds you back from seeking new opportunities. It’s stopping us from living big. You close your hope off, you close off the idea of taking action because you think there’s not enough

IT’S NOT POSSIBLE FOR ME

When your friend, family member or colleague prospers and you cannot see the same success can happen for you.

You’ve disqualified yourself before you’ve submitted, tried or applied. Chuck it out [this limiting belief]… light the bin on fire when you chuck it out.
